Jill A. Tardiff is the National Reading Group Month (NRGM) Chair and Event Manager, a marketing initiative fostered by the Women’s National Book Association (WNBA), a professional development and literacy outreach nonprofit organization. She is WNBA’s Main NGO Representative at the United Nations Department of Public Information and its current Social Media Manager. Jill was the WNBA’s National President (2004-2006) and the New York City Chapter’s President (2000-2006).
Over the past three-and-half decades, Jill has held top retail management positions at Hallmark Cards, Inc., Doubleday BookShops, and Tiffany & Co., as well as principal of Bamboo River Associates, a retail consultancy serving major Japanese publishers and booksellers such as Shueisha Publishing Co. and Kodansha Ltd. Miraiken Group. She has worked as a reporter and columnist at Shinbunka Weekly, contributing editor at Shueisha Publishing Co., and Publishers Weekly, advertising manager at Guernica Magazine, Parabola Magazine, and Persimmon Asian Literature, Arts & Culture, as well as project manager/editor at Lintel Press. Jill is currently involved in the farm-to-table food advocacy movement under the banner of Alder & Vine with professional expertise in artisan and farmstead cheeses and provides literary terroir pairing services to groups upon request.
